This is the second film from the New Hollywood era that I really fell in love with when I watched it for the first time in high school--the first being Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, which I saw in middle school.I've made a list of the best titles from the New Hollywood era. Have a look:

The characters were all really flat. Why was Mrs. Robinson unhappy? What did Ben see in naive Elaine? And what was up with the blonde dude? And why was Mr. Feeny such a dick?akuma587
I really didn't get into this movie for whatever reason.Alias

The parents who throw their son into the arms of the lover's daughter. Rather oedipal.Read more in French on La Saveur des goûts amers.

I watched this movie because it's so well-known and there seems to be a general feeling of like. However, this is an AWFUL film. Don't get me wrong, Bancroft and Hoffman were absolutely amazing in the first half. The initial seduction scene is one of the funniest scenes ever. Hoffman truly captures the awkward and nervous type. It’s just the camera angles and the story were all over the place. I kept wondering if I supposed to be on an acid trip to get it. Gotta question if people like this movie because of nostalgia or because the drugs were that good.Skyscore
