Terrific documentary, with in-depth interviews. Good to see all her family on this, as well as Kim Wilde herself. She seemed very relaxed & comfortable, & gave a lot of insight into her life & career. A hidden gem of archive material, that i'm extremely glad to have seen.
seeing hayley in her most rebellious role was a marvel! she played the part so beautifully. the film itself did seem to skim over some bits rather quickly - i would have liked to have seen parts of the story in more depth - but the overall theme was really good. the three main actresses were all terrific. hayley stood out more than ever, & was definitely her most gorgeous in this, i found it hard to focus on anyone else.
finally, i’ve been able to see this little pre-code gem, & it did not disappoint. watching purely for lillian roth, i honestly could not take my eyes off her. she wasn’t in the title role of madam satan, but she stole the show for me. her body language, her expression, everything about her oozes charm & sex & talent. she just shines above everyone else in whatever she plays. i would have liked to have seen more of the party & costumes & other characters maybe - the latter part of the film was just so visually stunning - but a really good picture nonetheless.
