@FilmWalrus: done, thanks for noticing.

@siskoid that's what depression and a lack of self-confidence do to people. What would you expect, someone who comes across as extremely extrovert and entertaining? Ironically enough, you're underlining the relevance of this film with your review.

Thank you for noticing, iCheckFilms. I've fixed the link!

I decided to take that as a recommendation, Forrester. So far I'm not disappointed. Great slow cinema. I think I need to go through your dislikes.

Couldn't we remove the 1-vote films? I see how a list with only 10 films, like the original, might be a bit short, but then include all films with at least 2 or 3 votes. Including every random vote makes a poll meaningless. The list then turns into a random critics list, with the critics being unknown.

I think this list should be brought back to the original, with just a top 25. All these one-vote films make a list meaningless.

On Mubi right now. Not really worth watching, unless you're very much into "so bad it's good" movies.

Who told mister Hurwitz that cutting Bach's greatest works in tiny pieces is a good idea?

You missed His Favorite Pastime (and probably other films as well).

Very sharp commentary on the Syrian dictatorship, subtly packed in neutral observation. Great watch, especially with the recent conflict in mind.

It's on Vimeo. No subs, though.

Very good indeed, especially because of the awesome cinematography.

Make sure to watch it with the original Mascagni score:

(only French and German intertitles, though)

I watched the Youtube version with Italian subs. Just enough to understand it for me, but I'm still wondering whether there are any English subs around.

Basically it's just a few poems by Manuel Bandeira, the Brazilian poet displayed in this short.

This seems to be a version from 2'45'', to a certain extent.

Looks like it's not very different from John Cage's 4'33".

Actually not as bad as I expected. Not your average Bollywood crapfest. Quite entertaining if you view it as a decent B film, though it's really way too long.

@russa03: so I did when I first added the list to iCM, but when I got the adoption request, the list moderators explicitly asked me to include them. Like one of them said in the new lists thread on the forum: "I want iCM to be a good source of information about lists, so people should be able to see the original list on iCM without having to look at the original source."

Looking through the Youtube-comments, I just noticed that this uploaded version is actually Bruce Baillie approved. :)

Did you consider adding Akerman's News From Home?
I've almost finished it, and I'd call that a city symphony as well.

Here's another one, with an interesting commentary (by a film historian who even has an accent that's similar to Mark Cousins'!): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQWqP7NAkz8

That was because I copied the line from that list. But I fixed it, thanks for notifying me!
