Amazing dance performances of course, but do yourself a favour and skip past the plot.

Realist feminist film that is quite upsetting. Masterful directing in this, some really great long takes aswell.

So much potential but the script is just terrible. Could have been edited down a bit too. I was intrigued by the idea of an all Engrish film (and the appearance of Tarantino) but it just wasn't very enjoyable.

If there's a more incredible ending to a film, I haven't seen it. Absolutely fantastic. Bogart's best performance.

The great music combined with colour and style make this a very enjoyable movie. Plus I'm a sucker for French stuff and boy is this film ever French.

Some great moments (the operation scene for example) but there are a few too many dull scenes. Not the brothers' best.

Very enlightening doc about the failed war on drugs, and the prison-industrial complex. I highly recommended this movie. It covers an important issue that we need to fix.

Is it as good as the first movie? No. But if you enjoyed Machete, you should see this movie. There are some great moments. The best part to me was spoiler Also, Mel Gibson is great in this movie. I wished they handled his character a little better, but he was cast perfectly.

Very well done prison escape movie. I love the amount of time they spend showing them actually digging / filing away at things. It should be so monotonous but it ends up being very immersing.

Laurel & Hardy are a boring and unfunny pair. Most of the humor comes from Laurel slightly messing up (getting a vet instead of a doctor), or taking things literally ("you're yellow!" "Really?"). Add some average slap stick and what you get pales in comparison to anything the Marx Brothers ever did.

Thematically reminiscent of 12 Angry Men, with the style of the best noires.spoiler

I'm not big on melodramas, but this movie looks great. I love the way colours look in early colour films. The outfits are reminiscent of '38 Robin Hood in their bold colours, and the lighting is similarly beautiful.

Quintessential late noir. Great stuff.

There's nothing quite like Ruby Keeler doing her awkward little dance (which I love), while three characters gawk and say something like "this kids got chops!"
Also, the fact that this movie has the gag where the women are so hot that a blind man (who straight up has a sign that says "blind man" around his neck) lowers his glasses to get a better look is just fantastic.
Probably Berkeley's strangest movie, maybe not his best but it's up there.
