I don't really check music videos, but I figured I should check and favorite my #1. This short film (which is what it really is) definitely influenced my tastes as a teen back in the day.
I don't see how this could fail to blow a VU fan away. Todd Haynes channels the spirit of Jonas Mekas with the kaleidoscopic collage filmmaking, so the dedication at the end is so apt. I was moved to tears. Staggering, vital cinema for lovers of art that exists off the beaten path, which is what Lou, Warhol and the gang were all about. Five stars.

The animation looks quite nice and I now think Chloe Grace Moretz is the perfect modern actress for a '30s style screwball comedy, should anyone revive that genre. Aside from those two positives, Tom and Jerry is inexcusably bad. Likely to disappoint fans of the cartoon and even kids.
