I remember when my mom brought home those big laser disc movies from the movie store. I remember we had to rent the machine to play them too. We even rented a VCR with our first VHS tapes. The people at the video store knew my mom by her first name. She would copy the videos onto blank tapes and we all had to initial when we had seen them so she could tape over them with a new movie. That way she could rent more since we couldn't keep up with her. My mom liked old movies and drama/ action/adventure/sci fi. That is why some of my earliest memories of movies are Brigadoon and Dreamscape. Now that I am older I have branched out into foreign films, documentaries, and whatever else was lacking from my childhood.
