@Prequel: and how are instant messages different from this? This may not be the best solution possible, but with our limited amount of time this was the best option.
@intothewild: :D
@JohnnyDavidson: just to be clear, there will be making a clear distinction between "official", adopted lists that we consider to be interesting to everyone, and personal lists. However, should someone decide to create a list that we feel should become an "official" list (e.g. http://www.chicagoreader.com/chicago/list-o-mania/Content?oid=896619), we can decide to have a list become official. People will still see who made the list, but it will be included with the other official lists. Personal lists like "my favorite movies to watch with my girlfriend" are very unlikely to be converted to an official list.
@jeff_v: that is something that we really want to do in a future release
@sortile9io: yes, that will be possible. We will have a very relaxed upgrading and downgrading scheme.
@mjf314: only the person who created the list can add tags (to prevent abuse). You will be able to see the most favorite (bookmarked) lists for each tag, yes.
Please keep providing us with your feedback! So far, we've seen a lot of very interesting ideas. As you probably know, we take our user's input very seriously.
@mjf314: not at all. All your lists and groups will remain available, only you will not be able to created more. If you would revert to a free account, you'd also lose the ability to add/edit your lists. Non-paying members will be able to create a personal list.
@dignitasViper, @jarmel: icm 2.0 is being worked on hard. There have been some unfortunate events that have delayed it (it appears even Duke Nukem Forever will be released earlier :P ), but we are still working on it. As an appetizer, we hope to give some more information soon.
@jarvey: thanks a bunch!
@chemosh6969: no, as it is not really "new" but is was actually a missing entry that should have been there.
@Jumping Elephant: it was "23rd Psalm Branch, Part II
@Kongeslask: we don't have the time for that unfortunately, but it will be coming in a future release.
@everyone: thanks for all the nice words!
The list has been updated to include the correct versions of Sunrise and In the Mood for Love, as well as have the movies removed as specified on the Matthew Hunt blog post.
@jeff_v: thanks for the great input! The mistakes have been corrected.
@beeswax: typo has been corrected, my bad!
@several users: the Criterion collection has been updated (which gave me some checks on that list too!)
